There is no real ';miracle'; laser treatment yet for acne, but there is a very promising therapy called BlueLight (BLU-U) or ClearLight, sometimes referred to as PhotoDynamic Therapy. Technically, it's not a laser therapy, but it's a ';light'; therapy, using high intensity blue light to treat acne. Its results have not yet been demonstrated to be more effective than Accutane, and there are no long-term studies for its effectiveness against acne because its use on acne is relatively new. However, its short-term results look very good. The plus is that it doesn't have the systemic effects of Accutane. However, no, it is not covered by Medicare or any insurance carrier for the treatment of acne.
