I have some major cystic acne. I've tried everything even laser treatments!?

Can someone plz suggest some natural remedy that will get rid of my cystic acne??? I'm tired of looking like a junior high aged kid.I have some major cystic acne. I've tried everything even laser treatments!?
Exercise and healthy diet.

It is the only thing that keeps my own skin clear.

Get into aerobics. Outside running is best. The breathing of fresh air really makes a difference in health, energy, mental patience, skin quality, diet, and weight.

You first have to prep for the sport: Go to the best running store in your neighborhood, and get fitted for sneakers. They'll watch your gait and choose what is right for your foot.

If you are a girl, buy a good running bra. Should buy it in the size below your normal size. You want it to be tight, so it holds everything down, allowing good breathing, but no breast movement.

Next, you need to train for stamina:

Begin to run by doing the run-walk-run thing. Run until you run out of breath; walk until you catch your breath; run again; walk again; etc. Just keep doing it for thirty minutes. Do that for two weeks. Concentrate on trying to extend the running sessions longer.

At the end of two weeks, you should be mildly okay with the routine. Now begin to time yourself. Use a watch, or if you run alone, without distractions, count your steps. Time your running period (until you run out of breath); time your walking period. Now try to extend the running period by 1/2 minute every day. At the same time, try to decrease your walking period by 1/2 minute every day.

Keep doing this. Slowly you will build up to running for the full 30 minutes. Once you do, extend the time by two minutes every day, until you've reached 40 - 60 minutes.

At that point, you'll be ready to begin work on increasing speed. (That's a whole other question!)

As for diet ...

After you return from a run, drink a tall glass of low fat chocolate milk. It replaces your nutrients in the same way Gatorade does.

Eat quantities of fruit only in the morning (due to sugar content). For the rest of the day, eat lots of veggies; lean protein; unsalted almonds, pecans, and walnuts; yogurt; eggs. Stay away from starches (rice, potato, crackers, breads, etc.) Stay away from salt.

Do not eat meals late at night. Determine the time you become inactive at night. That doesn't just mean sleeping; it also means sitting at your computer, or watching television. Determine the time and subtract five or six hours to computer the hour at which you should stop eating for the day. After that hour, you should only have teas, salads/veggies (no dressings; only lite olive oil with vinegar), or a piece of fruit such as apple.

Eliminate toxins from your diet. Don't smoke. Don't take medications unless you absolutely need them.

DO take vitamins. If you have a Wegmans, Whole Foods, or GNC nearby, look to buy the EmergenC packets. They taste good, are easy to take, and will give you all the vitamins you need. You should buy the boxes in Multiple and in Vitamin C.

Make sure to get good sleep! You cannot get deep, deep sleep if lights are on. You must sleep in a dark room. No television. No lights. Try to get 6-8 hours each night.

Wash your hair at least three times a week. Change your pillow case every time you wash your hair. This reduces the oil that gets on your face while you sleep.

DON'T use accutane, which has many dangerous side effects! Use doctor prescribed topical medications on the exact area of the blemish. Ask about Retin-A.

Nightly routine should be: Wash with special facial cleansers (check out the Neutrogena line in drug stores). Rinse well. Then dot the medication on the blemish.

Exercise, proper food, watching the times you eat, and good sleep will clear up your skin.I have some major cystic acne. I've tried everything even laser treatments!?
I was just like you, I tried everything that I could get my hands on to fix my skin.

I finally went to a dermatologist and they did put me on Accutane.

About 4 months into the 6 months treatment I had to stop because the Accutane (which stops your bodies production of oil) made it so there was not fluid in my shoulder joint. It was extremely painful and they took me off of Accutane immediately.

I did have a bad reaction to Accutane but my skin is 95% perfect now and it makes me feel so much better about life. I would go through the side effects any day to get my face to be how it is after accutane
You aren't going to like this, but probably you'll need to see a dermatologist. Cystic acne is caused by a longterm infection, and generally won't respond to amateur treatment. You're gonna have to get out the big guns, and only an MD can prescribe what you need.

With luck, you'll only need a mild antibiotic.
My best friend had horrible cystic acne until she started taking Accutane. I know there are side effects to this medication and that it's a pain to get and isn't effective for everyone, but it was astonishing for her.

General tips:

Don't overwash. Your skin will get dried out and irritated and produce more oil and acne.

Use Benzyl Peroxide (not sure about spelling) in a LOW dose on your spots and gradually build up to something stronger. Using something too harsh can cause more harm than good.

Use a gentle face wash like Cetaphil or purpose and always use an oil-free moisterizer and sunblock.

Once a week exfoliate with a honey and sugar mask or a coffee grind and egg white mask. It sounds weird, but has awesome results.

Most importantly, drinks tons and tons of water. It is the number one thing you can do.

Check out the site acne.org for more ideas.

Good luck!
I have had it for years. I was hoping to save up for the laser thing. It makes me sad that it may not work either. I have always been too afraid to try Accutane. Any luck with it?

You have probably tried Proactive, but it doesn't work either. Sometimes, I go to Aveda to get the acne facial. It makes it better for a little while, but it never completely goes away :-(

What's with the thumbs down? Sorry for commenting. Won't happen again.
My sister used to have really bad acne. She found specific make up to use so she wouldn't break out. and she never, ever, ever, ever touches her face. She doesn't even let her fiance touch her face. She doesn't put her makeup on with her hands. The oils from your fingers can really do a job on your face. Hope this helped.
