EDIT: I took Accutane. I know what I'm talking about. Being that you're not going to bear children your risks would be less horrifying, but the side effects can be horrendous. Paul provided a good link. Talk to the derm about it.What would be better for acne. accutane or laser treatments.?
It depends on many variables. Lasers are more commonly used on acne scars. Accutane i markedly reduces the size of the oil glands so that much less oil is produced. As a result, the growth of bacteria is decreased. bacteria is the cause of acne.
