How much does laser treatments at Dr.Risplers L.D.I cost for mild acne and the scars ?

hello i really want to have a clear face before i graduate in 2 years.I always hear on the radio about laserhq.com that Dr.Rispler has treatments to clear tyour face.I heard everyone that went there was happy about the results.I just want to know how much did it cost for people that had it done.I want to know the price that people had it done for so i have the idea of the price range. If i had mild acne and the scars left over how much can i get it done for.My acne is not bad but i just have mild acne. And are results pernament? i want to hear from people who had it done because they had the experience. And i really hope that this doesn't cost a fortune. And by the way i am only 16 and i have a part time job.I want to know if they offer any payment planswhere i pay a little amount of money at a time.Basically financing it because i don't have the money to pay all at once. How much does laser treatments at Dr.Risplers L.D.I cost for mild acne and the scars ?
sorry i cant answer ur question..maybe someone can..(';,)

Is there any type of treatment like lasers or anything that makes acne scars go away? if so how much?

There's loads you can do. Lasers or IPL can work IPL is less painful though. You can also have chemical peels. Depending on how bad the scarring is you might only have to have a mild one. Not all of them need down time. Most are recommended in courses. Microdermabrasions are also good especially one with a light treatment included such as a chroma clear. Once looking at your skin a specialist may advise a combination of peels and IPL/Laser and microdermabrasion. I don't know where you live but in Liverpool where I work your proberly looking at around 拢300 a course of IPL and 拢200-拢600 for a course of peels. (although there are really expensive ones that are a one off which you will have to book a couple of days of work and will cost you around 拢2000+)Microdermabrasions are usually around 拢40-拢50 and you'll also find them more benificial in a course. A good cleanser is always a must one with gycolic in. Look up MD formulation but tell your therapist your using one before having any treatments.

I have some major cystic acne. I've tried everything even laser treatments!?

Can someone plz suggest some natural remedy that will get rid of my cystic acne??? I'm tired of looking like a junior high aged kid.I have some major cystic acne. I've tried everything even laser treatments!?
Exercise and healthy diet.

It is the only thing that keeps my own skin clear.

Get into aerobics. Outside running is best. The breathing of fresh air really makes a difference in health, energy, mental patience, skin quality, diet, and weight.

You first have to prep for the sport: Go to the best running store in your neighborhood, and get fitted for sneakers. They'll watch your gait and choose what is right for your foot.

If you are a girl, buy a good running bra. Should buy it in the size below your normal size. You want it to be tight, so it holds everything down, allowing good breathing, but no breast movement.

Next, you need to train for stamina:

Begin to run by doing the run-walk-run thing. Run until you run out of breath; walk until you catch your breath; run again; walk again; etc. Just keep doing it for thirty minutes. Do that for two weeks. Concentrate on trying to extend the running sessions longer.

At the end of two weeks, you should be mildly okay with the routine. Now begin to time yourself. Use a watch, or if you run alone, without distractions, count your steps. Time your running period (until you run out of breath); time your walking period. Now try to extend the running period by 1/2 minute every day. At the same time, try to decrease your walking period by 1/2 minute every day.

Keep doing this. Slowly you will build up to running for the full 30 minutes. Once you do, extend the time by two minutes every day, until you've reached 40 - 60 minutes.

At that point, you'll be ready to begin work on increasing speed. (That's a whole other question!)

As for diet ...

After you return from a run, drink a tall glass of low fat chocolate milk. It replaces your nutrients in the same way Gatorade does.

Eat quantities of fruit only in the morning (due to sugar content). For the rest of the day, eat lots of veggies; lean protein; unsalted almonds, pecans, and walnuts; yogurt; eggs. Stay away from starches (rice, potato, crackers, breads, etc.) Stay away from salt.

Do not eat meals late at night. Determine the time you become inactive at night. That doesn't just mean sleeping; it also means sitting at your computer, or watching television. Determine the time and subtract five or six hours to computer the hour at which you should stop eating for the day. After that hour, you should only have teas, salads/veggies (no dressings; only lite olive oil with vinegar), or a piece of fruit such as apple.

Eliminate toxins from your diet. Don't smoke. Don't take medications unless you absolutely need them.

DO take vitamins. If you have a Wegmans, Whole Foods, or GNC nearby, look to buy the EmergenC packets. They taste good, are easy to take, and will give you all the vitamins you need. You should buy the boxes in Multiple and in Vitamin C.

Make sure to get good sleep! You cannot get deep, deep sleep if lights are on. You must sleep in a dark room. No television. No lights. Try to get 6-8 hours each night.

Wash your hair at least three times a week. Change your pillow case every time you wash your hair. This reduces the oil that gets on your face while you sleep.

DON'T use accutane, which has many dangerous side effects! Use doctor prescribed topical medications on the exact area of the blemish. Ask about Retin-A.

Nightly routine should be: Wash with special facial cleansers (check out the Neutrogena line in drug stores). Rinse well. Then dot the medication on the blemish.

Exercise, proper food, watching the times you eat, and good sleep will clear up your skin.I have some major cystic acne. I've tried everything even laser treatments!?
I was just like you, I tried everything that I could get my hands on to fix my skin.

I finally went to a dermatologist and they did put me on Accutane.

About 4 months into the 6 months treatment I had to stop because the Accutane (which stops your bodies production of oil) made it so there was not fluid in my shoulder joint. It was extremely painful and they took me off of Accutane immediately.

I did have a bad reaction to Accutane but my skin is 95% perfect now and it makes me feel so much better about life. I would go through the side effects any day to get my face to be how it is after accutane
You aren't going to like this, but probably you'll need to see a dermatologist. Cystic acne is caused by a longterm infection, and generally won't respond to amateur treatment. You're gonna have to get out the big guns, and only an MD can prescribe what you need.

With luck, you'll only need a mild antibiotic.
My best friend had horrible cystic acne until she started taking Accutane. I know there are side effects to this medication and that it's a pain to get and isn't effective for everyone, but it was astonishing for her.

General tips:

Don't overwash. Your skin will get dried out and irritated and produce more oil and acne.

Use Benzyl Peroxide (not sure about spelling) in a LOW dose on your spots and gradually build up to something stronger. Using something too harsh can cause more harm than good.

Use a gentle face wash like Cetaphil or purpose and always use an oil-free moisterizer and sunblock.

Once a week exfoliate with a honey and sugar mask or a coffee grind and egg white mask. It sounds weird, but has awesome results.

Most importantly, drinks tons and tons of water. It is the number one thing you can do.

Check out the site acne.org for more ideas.

Good luck!
I have had it for years. I was hoping to save up for the laser thing. It makes me sad that it may not work either. I have always been too afraid to try Accutane. Any luck with it?

You have probably tried Proactive, but it doesn't work either. Sometimes, I go to Aveda to get the acne facial. It makes it better for a little while, but it never completely goes away :-(

What's with the thumbs down? Sorry for commenting. Won't happen again.
My sister used to have really bad acne. She found specific make up to use so she wouldn't break out. and she never, ever, ever, ever touches her face. She doesn't even let her fiance touch her face. She doesn't put her makeup on with her hands. The oils from your fingers can really do a job on your face. Hope this helped.

You should read your coverage plan. Each insurance company is different. I'd wager to say that most consider that ';cosmetic'; and won't cover it.Will medical insurance companies cover treatments such as laser surgery for severe acne scarring?

Anyone know the best laser clinic to go to, to get the best acne and scaring treatment? I've tried everything

Do your research....because it can get pricey. I use to have bad acne and scarring. I went to a dermatologist and he recommended me to get glycolic acid peels that brings the acne to the surface of your skin. Your old skin will start to peel and new skin will take its place. I also used his cleanser, toner and creams on a daily basis. Microdermabration is also good to use after your peel sessions is over. That's when they use a vacuum like wand and scrape the dead cells off your skin....Now my skin is clear for the first time. Good luck!Anyone know the best laser clinic to go to, to get the best acne and scaring treatment? I've tried everything

Will $2,800 be enough to get laser treatments for my acne ?

i currently saved up $2,800 and i want to know if i have mild acne will the money i saved up be enough to have the whole procedure done ? I barely have that much and hoping that it will be enough...And i mean all the treatments not one...Does anybody know if that should cover the whole thing... Please do not answer if your going to suggest i use something else like proactiv or other treatments except what i am talking about. Will $2,800 be enough to get laser treatments for my acne ?
It really depends on the area of the skin and the type of skin. The type of skin determines how many treatments you will need, also the severity of your acne. You say that it is mild acne, so i think it will be a little less. Also, it depends on the doctor. What I suggest you do is call up different doctors in your area that treat acne with lasers. Most doctors give free consultations when it comes to this stuff, so call around and ask who gives a free consultation or look at ads. Then set up a free consultation, go in and ask the cost. A lot of doctors give free consultations so it should be easy to find someone. Will $2,800 be enough to get laser treatments for my acne ?
maybe but do you really want to spend all that $ on your face!!!!!!!!! r u sure that u want to do this it may not even work and all your $ will go down the drain just saying think really hard about his before you really want to do this
How lucky am I to not have acne... Im sorry heh, Try looking on the site for prices...

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Well, I was going to suggest ProActiv... but I can only assume that 2,800 would be enough for laser treatments.... though it seems like an awful waste of money...

What would be better for acne. accutane or laser treatments.?

LASER TREATMENTS CAN BE DANGEROUS. Do a web search ';FRAXEL Laser treatment dangers'; See several patients' comments on this independent site (does not sponsor products/treatments like many do)

http://www.revolutionhealth.com/drugs-tr鈥?/a> say you have to have many treatments extending over months to get results. Some say it's not effective on acne scars, and that it aggravated acne. Some Examples

    Patient 1. ';Very painful-a lot of down time- severe swelling First treatment was very painful. A lot of swelling and discomfort. Lasted for about 5 days. Was very unhappy. Second treatment-swelling not as bad but still pretty bad-Redness and burning was worse than the first treatment. Cleared up in about 4 days. Not sure if I want to continue. Haven't really seen any big difference in my skin. This treatment is definitely not for everyone-High pain tolerance and discomfort.';

    PATIENT 2. ';MY CORNEAS WERE BURNT. LOSS OF VISION. LIDOCAINE CREAM ON MY FACE TO ANEASTHETIZE SURFACE GOT INTO MY EYES AFTER FRAXEL PROCEDURE. LIDOCAINE BURNT AND SCRATCHED CORNEAS OF BOTH EYES. HAD TO GO TO EMERGENCY HOSPITAL. I WAS BLINDED AND MY VISION WAS IMPAIRED FOR TWO WEEKS. THIS TREATMENT WAS NOT WORTH THE PAIN AND SUFFERING I WENT THROUGH. US FDA WARNS NOT TO USE LIDOCAINE CREAM NEAR EYES BUT THIS DOCTOR USED IT WITHOUT WARNING ME OF THE DANGER.';

Accutane can be hazardous too. Do a web search ';Accutane treatment dangers'; and you will see many patients reporting the hazards.

.What would be better for acne. accutane or laser treatments.?
Accutane is nasty, nasty stuff. I don't know much about the laser option. Good luck!

EDIT: I took Accutane. I know what I'm talking about. Being that you're not going to bear children your risks would be less horrifying, but the side effects can be horrendous. Paul provided a good link. Talk to the derm about it.What would be better for acne. accutane or laser treatments.?
It depends on many variables. Lasers are more commonly used on acne scars. Accutane i markedly reduces the size of the oil glands so that much less oil is produced. As a result, the growth of bacteria is decreased. bacteria is the cause of acne.

Has anybody had fraxel laser treatments for scars that are NOT acne-related?

I have a few scars that I really want to have revised. I went to a dermatologist/surgeon today and she suggested fraxel laser treatments. After I came home, I did a quick search on fraxel lasers and it seems like they're mostly used to treat acne scars. I was wondering if anybody has had experience with this treatment on non-acne scarring (scars from cuts or accidents)? If so, what kind of results did you end up seeing?

I know that nothing can make a scar go away completely, but I'm hoping that I can find something that might deliver decent results?

Thanks in advance for your answers.Has anybody had fraxel laser treatments for scars that are NOT acne-related?
Drugs, creams and typical acne cures sometimes work in a partial way but the results are temporary and the side effects are nasty. The tiny handful acne sufferers who have learned how to clear their acne from within and without ever using drugs or over the counters are the only people in the world who keep their skin clear permanently. Now you can learn these clear skin secrets from a nutritionist and a former sufferer who knows from real-world experience exactly how it's done with the knowledge on http://www.holisticacnetreatments.com/ natural acne treatments

    Hi,

Here is some information on Aloe Vera and Tea Tree, a natural remedy, which may be helpful to you.

The watery gel from Aloe Vera plant is a highly effective natural cure against Acne. The enzyme-rich gel has very soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It can also be taken internally and helps clean up and detox the digestive tract. This in turn can help clear up the skin.

Gel or juice of Aloe Vera is highly useful in fading of acne scars. You can grow Aloe Vera plant in your home and apply freshly taken pure Aloe Vera gel to your scar. Otherwise many branded cosmetic companies manufactures pure Aloe Vera gel, so you can choose the best cosmetic companies to get Aloe Vera gel.

Vitamin A is also a natural and effective Acne cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.

Vitamin E also helps in countering Acne. It is a natural antioxidant and beneficial for the skin.

Oil is obtained from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree from Australia. It is very effective against Acne as it contains bacteria-fighting substances called Terpenes. Acne is often caused by bacteria and the Terpenes either outright kill them or weaken them enough to be destroyed by protective antibodies. There are very little side effects from using Tea Tree Oil.

For more information check out the website http://www.trustwilliam.com/en-GB/Ingredients/Aloe-Vera-Trust-William/?term=Aloe+Vera%26amp;extcam=sm . You'll see the ingredients are 99.9% Pure Aloe Vera Gel with 'Vitamins A,C %26amp; E' and with 'Tea Tree'.

Hope this helps keep your acne %26amp; scars at bay!!

Acne scar treatment for my 15 year old daugthter including lasers? or dermabrasion?

So my daughter keeps asking me to take her to a specialist in beverly hills to get rid of her 2 minor acne scars that she has got from picking them is their any way i can tell her something or do someting about it? its affecting her life and her self confidence so anyone? prefferably specialistAcne scar treatment for my 15 year old daugthter including lasers? or dermabrasion?
Have you spoken to a dermatologist about Retin-A treatment? My niece had really bad acne scars and a couple weeks after starting Retin-A (cream applied 1x day at bedtime) her scarring had faded drastically. It also prevented new breakouts. Retin A is a derivative of Vitamin A and promotes cell regeneration, thus your old/scarred skin will peel for a few days but after that the new skin will start growing in. There is a generic brand that works equally well (Trentonin) and it is covered by most, if not all, insurance companies. By the way, if she is still having acne breakouts, as teens do, it may not be cost effective to have laser, etc done this early. I'd consider treating the source first. If these 2 minor acne scars are effecting her life as you put it, then may I suggest she see a therapist instead to talk about her self esteem issues, which are probably deeper than her skin.Acne scar treatment for my 15 year old daugthter including lasers? or dermabrasion?
Her skin is very young, and the scars will mostly fade. A little Mederma can be helpful. I know it is hard at that age, but does she have any idea what ';could'; happen with laser treatment? Lasers create very bad scars on some people, and with her being so young...I wouldn't even attempt it. Plus nothing can get rid of scars, all they can do is flatten and lighten them. Let her skin develop, and I am sure they will fade on their own. Try some concealer and the Mederma, and see where that ends up. Laser treatments can range from 600-1200 a visit, and like I said the side effects could be more devastating than what she already has.
    Hi there!

One of the most common acne scar treatment is laser resurfacing, or the application of soft and highly focused light on the surface of the skin to ';burn'; acne. However, this approach is only advisable for minor acne types like blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. Laser resurfacing is actually the closest literal equivalent of actual ';acne removal'; technique that is currently available. This is because laser resurfacing will actually remove acne. Since burning would naturally produce scars, people are quite hesitant to avail of this acne removal method. But such worries are unfounded. Laser resurfacing also includes a post-burning treatment that would stimulate the instant growth of collagen.

    I was wondering though

I have a lot of acne scars

Will the Laser ruin anything on my face?

If I want to do something about my acne scars in the future, such as laser removal, or facials and microdermabrasions, I was wondering, Can I still?I'm about to get Laser Hair Removal... Can I get acne treatments(facials/microdermab鈥?after?
The lasers shouldn't really affect your acne scars. If anything laser hair removal could help. It's similar to the way a photofacial can help, photofacials use light to boost collagen, and while hair lasers are not designed for that, the heat could have similar effects. I definitely wouldn't count on laser hair removal to help your acne scars, but it certainly won't hurt.

You could get any scar treatment you wanted after a laser hair removal treatment. You can even get microdermabrasions at the same time. For facial treatments, I would always recommend a microdermabrasion to start out with, it's not very powerful, but it's safe and easy. If you like the results go from there.

If anyone had treatment for scarring from bouts of acne, such as laser resurfacing, dermabrasion,...?

fractional laser therapy, chemical peel or microdermabrasion, what are some rules that you must adhere to during the healing period? Like, can you still use daily skin products i.e Proactiv during that time, go outside, wear sunscreen, advoid any food products, etc.If anyone had treatment for scarring from bouts of acne, such as laser resurfacing, dermabrasion,...?
I had microderma and chemical peels, but not for acne (I think you cannot have either on active acne). I had them for scars, wrinkles and age spots. The glycolic peel had no effect. Microdermabrasion worked well. I had 8 sessions and ,y face looks much better now. You cannot go in the sun for at least a week and wear high SPF for 3 months after the procedure. You cannot combine microderma with any other exfoliating procedure like dermabrasion, laser or chemical peels. You need to let your skin heal between these procedures.

STop smoking, drink lots of water and eat as many fresh vegetables as you can.

    Hope this helps.

FOR OILY SKIN IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO WASH YOUR FACE SEVERAL TIMES A DAY WITHOUT SOAP. APPLY ASTRINGENT LOTION FREQUENTLY .DON'T EXPOSE YOUR SKIN TO THE SUN. IN THE MORNING YOU APPLY FACE PACK MADE WITH ALOE VERA, MULTAN MITTI, ROSE WATER,TULASI POWDER, ROSE PETALS POWDER AND APPLY IT GENTLY ON YOUR FACE AND HANDS FOR 30 MINUTES AND DON'T USE SOAP AFTER WASHING YOUR FACE. IT IS BETTER TO USE MEDICATED SOAPS LIKE MEDIMIX, OR PONDS SOAP WASH. DON'T APPLY OIL EVERY DAY. ALL THE MATERIAL CAN BE HAD FROM ANY COSMETIC SHOP.YOU CAN USE BASIN POWDER MIXED WITH CURD. YOU WILL GET CERTAINLY GOOD RESULTS. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO CONSULT DERMATOLOGISTS INSTEAD OF BEAUTICIANS FOR YOUR ACNE PROBLEM. IN TEEN AGE ACNE PROBLEM IS COMMON.YOU NEED NOT WORRY.MY ADVICE TO IS NOT TO PULL PIMPLES IT FURTHER DAMAGES YOUR SKIN.I have very oily and acne prone skin how can i clean my face i used many medicine, laser treatment?
Since you are having oily skin, you should not use multiple cosmetics and medicine because you are not having any disease鈥?acne problem is a byproduct of oil oozing out of skin鈥?br>

Stop treatment for some days and try the following

You should clear the oil that oozes out and deposits over the skin and in the sweat pores. Once it is done then you would not have acne problems. For that, there are simple ways as follows:

1.Wash your face with neem soap three times a day followed by application of a mild moisturizer. Moreover, essentially before going to bed 鈥?without this forget about getting rid of this problem.

2.Use cleansers before applying makeup and the same in the evening after removing the makeup

3.Use as less makeup as possible

4.Use face pack made of multani mitti and sandalwood powder ones a week鈥?half a spoon of turmeric would enhance its effects

5.You might be having habit of touching your face and fiddling with your acne. Stop touching your face right away鈥?it is essential.

6.Calamine is very good for oily face like yours

7.Do not remove white heads and black heads with your fingernails鈥?use a remover tool available in the market

You should reduce washing and cleaning your face during winters as in this weather oilyness reduces.
apply multani mitti with gulab jal for 15 minutes then wash it.
please dont go for any kind of treatment, just wash ur face 9-10 times a day with plain water. try not to apply too many cosmetics on ur face. dont scratch pimples infact dont touch ur face unnecessaryly. have a healthy diet and drink atleast 10-15 glasses of water everyday. if u do this, i bet things will improve.
1.) drink 8-10 glasses of water in each season at all costs.

2.) make a moderately thick paste of besan and curd and apply it once a week on face.first rub it like a soap and then apply another layer of it on face and l leave it on till it dries.then rub with cold water.

make it a habit to rub this mask every day on face like soap and always use this instead of soap in your life to cure and prevent acne in future.
I have used ProActiv and have had great success with it!

Tell me your experiences please, I went to a Laser treatment center here in Beverly Hills and he told me he could get rid of my Acne for good and my scars, I would like to know you're experiences.....Does anybody Know if Laser treatments work for Acne Scarring????
    Acne scar treatment

http://acne-scar-tips.blogspot.com/Does anybody Know if Laser treatments work for Acne Scarring????
Go to a Dermatologists and see what she says
    Microdermabrasion takes away acne scars.
My cousin had laser treatments for his acne and it worked good for him and he had deep pocket scars from acne.
Yes, it did a great job for a friend of mine.

Do laser treatments for post acne marks work?

Does it work, does it hurt, is it expensive????

please only answer if you have tried it, thanks :)Do laser treatments for post acne marks work?
Yes it works, but you'll have to do a patch test first to see how your skin reacts. It can be expensive and it really depends on where you live and who you see. It doesnt really hurt, it kind of feels like a rubber band smacked your face, if that makes any sense.Do laser treatments for post acne marks work?
Microdermabrasion works! It cost less as well..

    Laser treatment for acne scars?

I went to the walk-in clinic today to get anti-biotics for my acne (it's outrageous) it almost looks like I smoke meth thats how bad it is. I am also on birth control (Aviane) It doesnt seem to be helping? So I was put on minocycline. Anyways, my doctor has recommended me for laser surgery after my acne clears (if it ever will:@)

has anyone had this done? is it effective??Laser treatment for acne scars?
i wish you the best ...

i want to get it done too but only when im older.. i dont have it as bad but still ...acne is acne

all i know is it kinda hurts

I am considering acne laser treatment....?

I am considering acne laser treatment because I have been breaking out significantly. I have never had a problem with acne until now. I am 21 and dealing with the problems of a prepubescent teenager. I was wondering, does the laser leave a very noticeable bruise and if so, how long does it last? Also, if anyone has experience in this department, any and all comments would be very much appreciated. :-) Thank you!I am considering acne laser treatment....?
Depends on what laser treatment they use. The v beam is great, only a little discomfort for a day or two. The spots go away very quick. If they use the Fraxel it is a little more invasive, Leaves you looking like you have a sunburn for about a week.

I need LASER treatment on my blackheads/scars left over from acne. ASAP my face is COVERED with it. HELPP!?

Please, i have REALLY bad acne but that i can deal with... what i CANT stand is the scars it left!!

But sad thing is, i used to pick the scabs EVERY DAY until they turnt to scars!!! AND I RELLLLLYYYY REGRET IT NOW.

I wanna know where i can go for a relatively cheap treatment.. it does not neccesarily have to be laser... but ANYTHING that will help rid of these horrible marks on my face.

I am willing to EVEN go abroad.. i just need some help pleaseeee anyone!!!

Oh.. and if it helps.... Im a light-skinned, 17 year old black girl (and i DONT want to bleach my face for it to turn WHITE or YELLOW)I need LASER treatment on my blackheads/scars left over from acne. ASAP my face is COVERED with it. HELPP!?
Photo pulse and dermabrasion works really great. It is kind of expensive, though, and insurance doesn't cover it. It hurts a little bit, but it really isn't bad. I had some brown spots on my face from when I was pregnant, and they really went away quickly with this treatment.

With just scars, you could probably skip the photo pulse and just go for the dermabrasion. It really hardly hurts at all.

Good luck.I need LASER treatment on my blackheads/scars left over from acne. ASAP my face is COVERED with it. HELPP!?
Last week on 'Embarrassing Illnesses' there was a black women suffering from hyper-pigmentation and excess facial hair. The doctors suggested laser treatment and within weeks there was a vast improvement in the quality of her skin.

    Good luck.
Having Laser treatments will cause the skin to form scabs. You must stop picking on them, you will scar your face, and cause infections. You need to go or call your Dermatologist in the morning, and do what he recommends. Stop stressing out and stop picking your face. Take care. SW RNP
its ok have you ever heard of pro active and if so have you ever tried it well its not to terribly expensive and it works like magic so thats the top choice of what i recommend for you and the second is very inexpensive its clearasil vanashing tint cream i use the tinted one its a little dark looks like a foundation and also they have a white cream one in my opinion i think the tinted works better but these are some very helpful things also you could try mederma for scars i hope i have helped you and that theese products work for you the way they have for me good luck
Try using Bio oil. I have had stretchmarks for the past 13 years and tried quite a few things and nothing has evened the skin tonage out. I tried Bio oil and never looked back. I have thin skin which shows all kinds of blothes, but Bio oil seems to reduce this. It wont get ride of the stretchmarks, but it had reduced the redness and with your problem and the fact that it is more recent you will probably get a better result for reducing the scarring

    Good Luck

    Hope this helps
Don't bleach! Concentrate on raising your self-esteem. When you look in the mirror, look into your eyes. They say they are the 'windows to your sole'.

P.s. My son is 19. He was born with a deformity of the skull. Do you want to know who his friends are? EVERYONE!! I have asked some of his peers why they like him so,they tell me he is the most positive person they know! He also has a very large number of female friends who can't get enough of him. Try it,you will be so happy you did!
If the scars are dark (hyperpigmentation) then a product that I would recommend is AFA Clay peels and the product line. It will get rid of the blemishes, reduce the discolouration and even out your skin texture. It will never be flawless but it will be a huge improvement. You have to be very careful when dealing with lasers and dark skin. Even if you are fair black girl you still are prone to get hyperpigmentation (darkening) from any laser treatment which is what you are trying to avoid. I have seen horrible results of laser or too agressive of chemical peels used on ethnic skin.

The AFA program is used by medical professionals only and you can check out the website xlafa.com (i believe if not google it) AFA Clay peels are great for the skin. It will take some time for it to work but it works.

Have u ever tried one of those laser treatments for acne? which one? how much did u pay? did it work for u?

Thank you!Have u ever tried one of those laser treatments for acne? which one? how much did u pay? did it work for u?
BACKGROUND: Ablative skin resurfacing with carbon dioxide (CO(2)) and erbium:YAG lasers is still considered the gold standard for treating rhytides, photodamage, and acne scars. However, the prolonged downtime and undesired concomitant effects that are involved have sent dermatologists looking for less invasive nonablative laser techniques to rejuvenate skin. OBJECTIVE: To combine cold-air cooling with single-pass CO(2) laser skin resurfacing to generate as much benefit as possible while minimizing the spectrum of adverse effects. STUDY DESIGN: The efficacy of single-pass CO(2) laser skin resurfacing on perioral and periorbital wrinkles was examined prospectively during a 6-month follow-up period. In a side-by-side comparison, the influence of simultaneous cold-air cooling on concomitant effects, pain tolerance, therapeutic success, and patient satisfaction was also studied. Eight patients with perioral and/or periorbital wrinkles underwent the procedure. During laser treatment, only the right half of each face was cooled using a cold-air system. RESULTS: Six months after treatment, a mild improvement of the wrinkles was observed in all cases. The use of cold-air cooling did not have any impact on the long-term results, although in a direct comparison between sides, it was observed that cooling reduced the recovery period from 3.9 +/- 1.5 (mean +/- SD) days to 3.5 +/- 1.4 days (P = .09) and helped postoperative erythema fade more quickly, from an average of 21.3 +/- 17.9 days to 11.7 +/- 3.9 days (P = .17). The reduction of pain was significant, which led to a much higher level of patient acceptance: on a numerical analog scale of 1 to 10, the rate decreased from an average of 6.8 +/- 1.8 (mean +/- SD) to 3.6 +/- 1.7 (P = .006). CONCLUSIONS: Given the clear decline in demand for invasive laser technologies, single-pass CO(2) laser skin resurfacing in conjunction with cold-air cooling is a worthwhile alternative both to conventional resurfacing and to conventional subsurfacing. The use of cold-air cooling not only minimizes intraoperative and postoperative adverse effects, it also contributes strongly to patient satisfaction.Have u ever tried one of those laser treatments for acne? which one? how much did u pay? did it work for u?
I assume that you are asking about the treatment for ACTIVE acne and not for scar revision? If so, the PDT (photodynamic therapy) using the Blu-light and ALA solution does seem to work fairly well, especially in those patients who would normally be candidates for Accutane, but who are hesitant to do so. It generally takes a few sessions, spaced at twice weekly, for it to work. The cost is dependent upon the clinic/office providing the service.

Can laser be used for the treatment of acne?

Dermatologists are using lasers for just about everything, including removal of birthmarks, smoothing out wrinkles, removing unwanted hair and assisting with acne.

Laser machines have been finely adjusted and upgraded along with the training and skills of doctors. The advancement of laser treatment and technology has brought therapy into the new century and is the suggested treatment for acne and acne scarring. Can laser be used for the treatment of acne?
This would be a last resort and a very invasive treatment. There are simple ways to do this, anti-biotics and skin cleansers first. If there some under laying problem such as a skin disease that's progressed beyond the normal means then yes.

I've had serious acne for 8 YEARS...How about LASER treatment or ANTIBIOTICS? (Wizards...?)?

In sixth grade I had started having one of those really serious cases of acne (genetic), and it might still be partially a stress thing (lol, it used to be a DREAM to have normal, clear skin) and people just tell me to deal with it. I've been told a few times ';Oh, it'll be gone by the time you're this age...'; (the new age I'm told now is late twenties...rofl...like I'll wait that long.) and another response I hate and keep getting from an older someone is ';It's natural, and you'll always have it. And anyway, I don't care when I have it--so you shouldn't.'; (PFFT... Ahem.) Heh, sorry, sometimes I get sort of emotional about my skin problems...

    // [End of me complaining.]

Don't think I haven't been to dermatologists and tried tons of topical stuff. And I refuse to ever use that bleaching Benzoyl stuff outside of the shower again.

How about (and keep in mind I'm not rich)...

**LASER TREATMENT? How effective, how many treatments, how expensive? (Maybe this technique will improve over the years...) THIS ONE I'm really interested in.

FACIAL MASQUES? How effective are these... and are some greater than others? I'll use them as frequently as it's allowed.

ANTIBIOTICS? (I tried Penicillin once; I'm allergic to that) I know they can be harmful to your body, but if it's nothing too serious or there are ways to assist maintaining your health while taking them...sure.

WIZARDS? What universe can I travel to where I can find a qualified wizard who will magically poof away all my acne?

I want it all gone, completely...face, chest, back, arms...and wherever else. Maybe one zit every two months is acceptable.

I'm pretty sure nobody can write me a book, but your response will be much appreciated anyway ;)I've had serious acne for 8 YEARS...How about LASER treatment or ANTIBIOTICS? (Wizards...?)?
ask ur doc or dermatologist about roaccutane (isotretinoin). it a drug specifically designed for the treatment of acne. it works by drying the skin leaving it less greasy. treatment may take a few months with improvements noticed over the weeks. highly recommended!I've had serious acne for 8 YEARS...How about LASER treatment or ANTIBIOTICS? (Wizards...?)?
    antiobiotics
antibiotics are your friend. Ask for minocycline.

laser treatment will only help you get rid of scars. It's freakin' expensive and typically, the cost is not covered under most typical health insurance plans (which means your parents will have to pay for straight out of their pockets, not a great idea).

Need info about acne and acne scar removal laser treatments?

    hi,

i want to go for acne laser treatment. can anybody tell me how much would it cost and how many sessions would it take and side effects and every possible info about it.....please...Need info about acne and acne scar removal laser treatments?
It depends in which part of the world you live in. A friend of mine did the laser treatment and suffered pains for 2 weeks. The results were NOT that great though. The scars did appear to get better by time, but was it worth the pain and time at home? In my opinion, not really.

The treatments are expensive, but maybe you can get a deal where you can split your payments over several months.

Acne,Itchy Cheeks & Reddish from the laser treatment of Bell Palsy?

My brother was attacked by Bell Palsy a couple months ago while he's on training in another city ( he lives in other country ).

He had several laser treatments. His doctor said that the laser might give him itchy feeling and cause other problem.

Now,he said that his cheek is reddish, itchy, and appears pimple ( big ones ), here and there. He feels so bad to go out lately.

Is there any medicine to reduce the pain ? Or any other treatments?

Please help me to find the answer.I feel so bad for my brother.I wish I could help him to cure his problem.Acne,Itchy Cheeks %26amp; Reddish from the laser treatment of Bell Palsy?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.Acne,Itchy Cheeks %26amp; Reddish from the laser treatment of Bell Palsy?
I did some research and talked to my doctor to find the most common causes of acne.

鈥?Hormones: The number one cause of acne is the production of sex hormones, known as androgen, that begins at puberty. This is why majority of acne sufferers are adolescents and teens. Hormones are responsible for then acne flare-ups during menstruation and pregnancy.

鈥?When the sebaceous gland is stimulated by androgens, it produces extra sebum. In its journey up the follicle toward the surface, the sebum mixes with common skin bacteria and dead skin cells that have been shed from the lining of the follicle. While this process is normal, the presence of extra sebum in the follicle increases the chances of clogging 鈥?and acne.

鈥?Stress: can also cause the production of hormones, such as cortisol, which can aggravate acne. Stress brings upon different hormone levels. With hormone changes the body prompts the skins oil glands to enlarge, secreting more oil. Which causes white heads, black heads and pimples.

鈥?Oily or heavy make up: Heavy make-up clogs the pores and oily make-ups add more oil, which only adds to the problem if oily skin already exists. Cosmetics, especially certain moisturizers, foundations and pomades contain lanolin, petrolatum, vegetable oils, butyl stearate, lauryl alcohol and oleic acid.

鈥?Certain medications and steroids: Vitamins are good for your body, But an excess of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 can cause acne flare-ups. These vitamins are good for the skin, but avoid overuse.

鈥?Diets: For some people, a diet that is high in refined carbohydrates and sugars can actually aggravate their acne.

鈥?Over abrasive cleansing: Harsh exfoliators can damage skin and spread infections.

鈥?Picking and squeezing: This can actually send the infection deeper into the skin and can cause scarring.

鈥?Environmental irritants: such as high humidity and pollution. High humidity actually causes swelling of skin. Pollution is of course is a big cause for clogging your pores.

鈥?Genes: Family members who are also acne sufferers. Acne is inherited and severe cases known as cystic acne usually come from heredity.

    And..,

    * Wash your face twice a day (thrice at most) with gentle and unperfumed cleanser. Avoid using soaps as they contain harsh chemicals and ingredients that can damage your skin.

    * Avoid touching your face. Stop putting your hands by your face! I am often guilty of this resting my hand on the side of my head while reading. Also rubbing or bracing your chin is another common problem when thinking. Avoid rubbing, touching, or itching your skin with your hands. Your hands contain a lot of bacteria that can cause acne flare-ups. It is probably one of the most difficult things to avoid since much of the hand to face contact throughout the day we are unconscious of. Make it a habit to avoid hand contact and be conscious of it during the day to avoid bacteria.

    * Avoid the temptation to pick, prick and squeeze your acne. This will send the infection deeper into the skin and can cause severe scarring.

    * For mild to moderate acne, you can use over- the- counter topical ointments, solutions, lotions or gels that contain salicylic acid or azelaic acid as an alternative to benzoyl peroxide. Resorcinol, salicylic acid, and sulfur help break down blackheads and whiteheads. Salicylic acid also helps cut down the shedding of cells lining the follicles of the oil glands.

    * Topical antibiotic solutions and lotions can also be applied.

    * Tea tree oil is a natural antibiotic and antibacterial agent and has a drying effect on the skin. It keeps the P. Acnes bacteria at bay along with decreasing facial oiliness, which makes this oil a worthwhile investment.

    * Sulfur helps to heal existing blemishes by unblocking pores.

    * Alpha or Beta Hydroxy Acids (AHA or BHA) works by keeping the skin exfoliated. Glycolic acid, the most well-known of the bunch is a useful adjuvant therapy for mild acne. Mandelic acid, a lesser known one, but one that combines the keratolytic properties of glycolic acid with natural antibacterial properties that help reduce the presence of P. acnes, may be considered a more effective alpha hydroxy acid in treating acne lesions. It is also much less irritating than glycolic acid, a factor that may be very important to those with sensitive skin who are unable to use other agents such as Retin-A, benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, or salicylic acid. It is effective in treating mild cases of acne on its own, and can be used successfully with other therapies on moderate acne.

These treatments are usually effective for mild to moderate acne problems only.

Laser treatments for acne scars how much do they cost?

depends on where you are, and the extent of treatment you need, and the specific type of laser they use.

I had laser treatment for rosacea, which cost about $300 a pop and needed to be redone every 6 months. I'd imagine it'd be similar for acne scarring but would probably be a one or two shot deal.

You should go see a dermatologist. Over the counter creams and pills did NOT work for me until i went to the doctor. He prescribed to be a cream called Retin-A-Micro. This stuff is expensive, but it works very well. It's got different ingredients in it. The only thing I dont like about this medicine is that it dries up my skin. Ask your dermatologist about it.
Sure there are plenty of solutions.. go the the dermatologist and they will prescribe creams or medications. Sometimes it takes antibiotics and creams to really help.
laser only improves it by 15% as i was told so its not that really useful but there are many ways to remove the marks of acne besides that.
I completly desapeer a strong acne I had when I was 17 wit a pill called Raccutan. This pill took 3 monts to eliminate it for ever

You should consult a dermatologist first. My son's doctor recommended laser treatment, as other topical treatments similar to proactive did not work. However, it is very expensive and not covered by his insurance, so he will not be able to do it. It is supposed to be very effective.

Sorry to break the bad news but Mederma and laser treatments are the only way to get rid of the scars. Mederma will take a while but it does a good job. The pixel laser will completely erase them.

There's no at home remedy to get rid of acne scars.

Cocoa butter will just make your acne worse and won't get rid of the deep scars.

Cornflour will just keep your skin from looking shiny but, won't help with the texture.

The best thing to do would be to cover the scars with a primer and then makeup.

Treatment for acne scars fast??? (besides mederna and laser treatment)?
Actually, i have another solution for you.

It's called the Post-Acne Lightening Gel from Murad skincare. It's a tube of a lightwieght gell that you put on, a thin layer, everyday and you see significant results in about a month or so... it could even be faster depending on your skin type.

It's only about 60 dollars at most and it works amazingly.. trust me.

    :)
I had some acne scars on my face that come and go *its weird.

But I started using lemon/lemon juice just last week and i can see a huge difference already. I applied honey afterwards to soothe/moisturize as lemon dries out the skin--or you could apply milk.

You could try Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel

I had tried this a couple of years ago but didn't see much of a result (that may be because I did not apply it consistently AT ALL, just randomly)

You mentioned that you scars are minimal. Having laser treatments

will be costly(a couple hundred, if not more).

May I suggest you buy pure Vitamin E oil? If the scars are not very old,it will put the moisture back in you skin and eventually disappear in a few weeks.

My son had two scars from acne treatments on his face. Vitamin E got rid of them, but you must apply it several times a day. Thus speeding the process.

Hope our experience will be of help.

Alexis M.Has anyone gotten laser acne scar treatments?
Laser acne treatment is one of several ways to reduce your acne but also the most frightening.

As with most of the available acne treatments, there are side effects. Some patients do experience red, burned skin after treatment that can last for weeks. The appearance of the skin can be uneven if the laser is applied inconsistently. Also, individuals with dark-colored skin can end up with skin discoloration after laser treatments.

Depends on where you live, what place you go to, and what part of the body you want it done.

    Cheeks = $275 - $1200

    Chin = $200 - $800

    Forehead = $250 - $1100

    Lower Face = $300 - $1500

    Full Face = $350 - $1800

    Neck = $300 - $1500

    Upper Back = $450 - $2300

3 鈥?4 treatments are recommended to get maximum results you want. These are usually performed every 3 or 4 weeks. You should notice a gradual reduction in the number and severity of acne within or over 3 weeks. Also, improvement will last between 6 months - 1 year.

  • Is there any other treatment to clear acne scarring and pot holes in the skin apart from laser?

Laser surgery has come of age, look into fractional laser therapy (Fraxek) or pulsed dye laser therapy.

Tell the doctor if you have been on Acutane, he cannot do laser until 6 months after you have used this.Is there any other treatment to clear acne scarring and pot holes in the skin apart from laser?
My girlfriend has had great success treating scars with a derma roller.

It is basically a skin roller with tiny pins in it which tickle when you roll it over your skin. Scars are often due to a lack of collagen in the skin - which makes skin smooth, supple and tight - but a derma roller triggers your skin's natural healing process to generate more collagen.

It also helps your favourite creams penetrate the skin better. Without it, over 90% of your cream is left on the outside of your skin!

Negative effects have never been reported, so it is very safe, and yet very effective at evening out your skin.

There is an article about acne scars here:

    http://www.derma-rollers.com/33/acne-sca鈥?/a>

And you can also read up on how derma rollers work here:

Good luck with it!Is there any other treatment to clear acne scarring and pot holes in the skin apart from laser?
You can always try Mederma. And you can always go to the Dermatologist, and get a chemical peel, if lifts away the dead skin cells so new healthy ones can form. If you don't want to go that route, and you can always do the home remedy way and apply lemon juice on a cotton ball and apply to the scars.

    Good luck! :)
Use a luffa and some face wash. Try to ';sand'; off the marks and holes by rubbing vigorously but don't make it bleed. After a few weeks of this, your scars will begin to fade. The longer you do this, the clearer your skin will become. Use a light moisturizer after washing to keep your facial skin moist.

It's not so much my face that I have been having trouble with , but the breakouts occur on my back and chest.

ThanksHas anyone tried laser treatments for acne? If so what were you results and where did you go.?
Yes, I had the PSR laser done. But I really did it more for the acne scars.

A good cleansing routine, will help as well. Any acne body wash at the drug store (like Neutragena or Clear and Clean) will work. After you get out of the shower, use Oxy 10 pads all over your chest and back. Then benzoyle peroxide acne cream. You can use an oil-free moisturizer like (same brands) if your neck and back get too dry, but don't use any other lotions, ect. as they may break you out.

But really, the BEST thing for breaking out is Accutane.

Accutane is the only real ';cure'; for acne available. All other creams, exfoliates, topical medication as well as oral meds must be taken indefinitely or you will start breaking out again,

If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

  • Any of you have had laser treatment on your acne scars? PLEASE HELP?

I have bad bad scars on both my cheeks.

I need to know what/which laser treatment works best to get rid of the redness all over my face.

Some says Laser Resurfacing, some says Smoothbeam, other says V-Beam so which one works best for scars???

And please tell me how much it costs and how long til YOU got your final result??

I'm really desperate so if any of u willing to help me thanks so much in advance!!Any of you have had laser treatment on your acne scars? PLEASE HELP?
    Smoothbeam is for pimples.

V-Beam is for the redness of the acne scars.

But out of your question, laser treatment doesnt always work,

it takes a long long time (some have to wait up to 18 months) to get the end results, not to mention the pain and how much it cost.

So for acne scar I suggest Dermaroller, the new method.

They put alot of collagen in your scar so it definitely works.

You can see the difference in about 6 weeks.

Not too mention it costs way less than laser treatments.

    Good luck!

    Do acne laser treatments hurt?

If it does, please rate the pain from 1-10 please....thanks! ^_^Do acne laser treatments hurt?
    There are a few options:

IPL (laser) w/Levulan or Smoothbeam Laser can be very uncomfortable. The discomfort level all depends upon your pain threshold and the level of strength they decide to use w/the laser. All in all, it's very bearable though...maybe a 5-6 on the scale.

Phytodynamic Therapy is the more popular option for acne. It utilizes the Blue Light w/Levulan treatment. The Blue Light technically isn't a laser but it can be very effective on acne! The Levulan in activated by the Blue Light and it actually kills the bacteria and shrinks the sebacius glands. Also, the procedure doesn't take long at all and the discomfort level is much lower, probably 3 or 4.

Either way, you'll be very happy w/the results.Do acne laser treatments hurt?

Chemical peel/laser treatment for active acne/acne red marks?

I am a twenty year old who has struggled with acne for a while

my acne is moderate/severe, and has become cystic to the point where proactive ect. does not clean it up

I am currently on Yaz/spironolatone which has calmed it down in the past month, but my face is still covered in red marks and some under the skin whiteheads

I want to get rid of the gross redmarks, and also get rid of the cystic acne. I am thinking about getting a face peel, but i'm not sure which one would be the most helpful.

I was looking for one mainly which would get rid of the acne/red marks while also refreshing my skin, which is somewhat worn even though I'm young (I have a very fair complexion)

has anyone had experience with facial peels/laser and how did it help your skin?

thanksChemical peel/laser treatment for active acne/acne red marks?
Every time I go to the dermatologists they give me a fruit peel. I have darker skin so my scars are black dots. It's really helping to lighten them But eventually I'm going to get a South African peel they have which will help much more. So form my personal experience I would say yes get a peel.

But everyone may not have the same experience as others, so keep that in mind.Chemical peel/laser treatment for active acne/acne red marks?

yes.it works.its cheap.no side effectsDoes laser treatment kill and prevent acne forever (or a couple of years)?
It does NOT work well at all. It is very expensive and you are likely to have severe scarring. I suggest that you get a series of antibiotic injections BEFORE you even consider laser treatment. Go to a dermatologist. If they're any good, they will NOT recommend laser treatment for acne.
Acne light / UV treatment for acne

The use of light, specifically ultra violet light frequency, has been shown to provide excellent results for acne sufferers. UV light penetrates the skin subcutaneously to help kill bacteria build up which clogs pores and causes acne. In theory it makes a lot of sense to use higher frequency UV light to affect and alter problematic skin which is vibrating at the lower hertzian frequency level.

Laser treatment (such as the flashlamp-pumped-pulsed dye laser) can be very effective. Some families choose masking make-up, skin grafts, tattoos, or cutting out the birthmark.

No need to use this as your age is not in that kind of supportive.

    Regarding the acne:-

    1. Drink 7-8 lit water daily.

    2. Stop eating fat/cheese/spicy/oily food.

    3. Take fruits instead of above mentioned food.

How safe is laser technique for acne treatment???

Please suggest me whether I should go for laser treatment or not. Because in any clinic which provides this service , they never tell about its side effects or its demerits. I am confused. I have this problem of acne since last 5 years and I am under mediacation throughout this period. Although I have changed doctors but still it doesn't show any improvement.Almost everything I have tried and given its due time to show its effects. But nothing has worked so far.

Someone has suggested me to undergo this treatment( laser). I want to know about its side effects or ill effects if any. Also I want to know about blue\red light treatment if anyone has heard about it.

Also can there be any problem if I undergo treatment under an unexperienced dermatologist or a person who is not qualified as a doctor but knows how to do it?

A person told me he has this laser treatment instrument with him and he can treat me with nominal charges as compared to the fees paid to dermatologist. I didn't meet him since. But can you advise whether that can be safe and harmless or should I be more prudent in such type of treatment. How safe is laser technique for acne treatment???
    Sounds extreme just for acne.

Lasers are used to heal scaring from acne, but for acne itself? I don't think it's common.

The medicated treatments plus strict cleanliness worked pretty well for me, eventually. Need to take a 2 pronged approach, face wash plus the creams.

How safe is laser technique for acne treatment???
Prudent to go to an expert, qualified and experienced and reputed!

Proactive does not work at all, I have bought many different products from my 2 daughters the only product that truly worked was bee-luscious cosmetics medicated acne treatment line the products are awesome and they last a long time, the initial investment is like 195.00 for 8+ products and they last almost a year so its worth it.What works better for acne proactive ,acne free,or laser treatment??
I think the question should be what works better for your budget. Laser is definately good but bad for the wallet. Proactiv and acne free are virtually the same and provide decent results while light on the wallet. another alternative is natural treatments such as acnezine or clearpores which are good for the skin and easy on the wallet.

    good luck.

After my Accutane session is over my dermatologist said I might want to consider laster treatment for my acne scars, does it work and does it hurt?Thinking about getting laser treatment for my acne scars, please tell me it doesn't hurt. =)?
It doesn't hurt very much Kevin. I have got laser treatment about 10 times (not for acne though, but its the same type of laser). If feels like an elastic band snapping on your skin for about 3 seconds. The area may be red for a few hours afterwards, but it doesn't be too long fading. They will also cover the area in an extremely cold gel before they do it, so it will dull the pain, and thats why it only feels like an elastic band snapping, and not someone slapping you really hard in the one place over and over again!!! lolThinking about getting laser treatment for my acne scars, please tell me it doesn't hurt. =)?
Laser treatment doesn't hurt but you must spend a lot of money. If you want to treat your acne, you could :

    - Combine baking soda with water and make a paste. This should be done before bedtime, applying it to surfaces affected with acne. You will achieve best results just after one week of continuous usage;

    - Mix some olive oil with salt and just like baking soda with water, make a paste;

    - Lemon slices could leave your skin blemish free and could take off dry skin.

Herbs such as lemon balm, tansy and aloe vera may be used topically to the inflamed skin in order to get rid of the acne. Substances like kali bromium and sulphur lotion are also considered as natural remedies for acne. Take note, however, that these solutions may not be adequate enough to treat severe acne but they go very well for mild acne.

    Acne scar laser treatment?

I don't think I have that many acne scars, maybe a few but they are not that dark. Some of them have begun to fade away already (thanks to a bleaching agent given to me by my dermatologist). Well, but when I went to my dermatologist today his employees (probably nurses) kept telling me that I had too many dark scars and that my skin was deeply blemished. I didn't think that was the case but they seemed to have dramatized my condition. Anyhow, they convinced me to go through a treatment called Erbium laser treatment, but I'm not sure if I should go through so much pain and a long recovery period just for moderate facial imperfections. All I want to do is heal the acne scars, not resurfacing or sanding the face. Anyone who is EXPERIENCED enough to give me advice? thanks very much.Acne scar laser treatment?
Laser acne scar treatment is an effective way to get rid of your scars, but it is expensive and also quite a hassle for small and not extreme acne scars.

If you have moderate to severe acne scars, how many treatments would it take for your skin to improve a lot and around how much does each treatment cost? Thanks!Laser treatment for acne...........?
I have used this highly informative information and it worked for me in getting rid of my pesky acne. And you don't need to buy expensive acne cream either! http://www.theknowguide.com/acnefree.htm鈥?/a>Laser treatment for acne...........?
You don't need to resort to any risky chemical or surgical expensive procedures. This is a safe, simple, natural, low cost treatment that really works and has been selected as 5 star Best Answer by Asker who reported was getting results after three days. Vitamin E capsules are a very effective cure but you have to APPLY CAPSULE CONTENTS DIRECTLY TO THE SKIN. I know for a fact that when someone has face surgery or a face lift the doctor tells patient to do precisely this to hasten healing and minimize scarring. Also another very effective treatment is using an organic or natural nut or coconut oil to massage face with quite a strong, vigorous motion - that part is important - once a day (best at night as will make face flushed). You will find you can make it more vigorous as you progress. Skin is always renewing, the vigorous massaging hastens a spot and blemish free new skin to emerge overtime. Initially, the skin has to adjust and if soreness or other reactions happen - the skin might expel poisons that need to be expelled - then stop and resume when you can. You have to find the pace that works for you - it's different for every person. Stick with it %26amp; in a week or so you will see an improvement and overtime you will have a completely spot free, clear and healthy skin. Some have used this treatment and have found it permanently rids skin of pimples and all other kinds of skin problems. It also dramatically minimises any wrinkles or other signs of skin aging.

  • Antibiotics or laser treatment for acne?

I have been a sufferer of acne for about 8 years now, and feel it's time i got it treated. A few month's back, i had a free consultation at the private clinic in Manchester. They recommended a thing called a pixel laser, to treat my acne. My main worries was the cost (拢1,200 for just the face), and the effects? Anyone had this done? On the other hand, was considering going to my doctor's, and getting some form of antibiotics to treat my acne. But with this, i'm worried of the side effects? Plus have quiet abit of acne scarring, which i'm guessing the antibiotic's would be useless to treat? Any help, would be much appreciated. Thanx : )Antibiotics or laser treatment for acne?
i wouldnt do the lazer treatment, at least not before i have tried roaccutane, the pill which can make your acne disappear for at least five years. your doctor will perscribe it and you will see the first results in two-three months. and they are amazing results!!!Antibiotics or laser treatment for acne?
I tried numerous antibiotics and creams to treat acne i only suffer from on my face, I was finally referred to a dermatologist 3 months a go and prescribed roaccutane its a very powerful drug to treat acne and as brutal side effects on the body, So far its clearing my skin up pretty well. Its best to see your doctor or dermatologist and there will decide on the best cause of action. The is no cure for acne.
There are many available cures for acne from the most affordable to the most expensive, and from the most simple to the most complicated. I think it would be best if you start with simple acne treatments. You know, start with topical medications-those you directly apply to the affected area. There are topical medications that treat the acne and minimize the appearance of acne scars. If topical medications won't work, then try oral medications-antibiotics or some vitamin... If it still won't work, then go with surgical treatments or laser treatment. Usually, treatment of acne can also depend on the cause of it-if it's hormonal, bacteria, because of too much stress (or all of the above)... Just remember that there are many options to treat your acne. Go to a good dermatologist so that he/she can detect what's causing the problem and suggest possible cures. It's also good that you ask them the side effects (if any) of those treatments as they are, after all, experts when it comes to that concern so that you can be sure you're getting correct information and that you're going to get good results.
